I like to try to do little things that kind of scare me every once in awhile or just try something new because it not only keeps things fresh, but it helps me grow as a person and makes my world bigger! After tackling Lions Gate Bridge, I feel like I’m so much less scared of crossing over the smaller ones that I’ve routinely avoided but that would make life a lot easier if I could cross them! In fact, the same day I went for a little waltz across Cambie Street Bridge and felt so much more at ease about it! Honestly, once we got out to the mid point, it’s just so beautiful and the views are so insane that you kind of forget about the parts that are scary (or at least, scary to me-the shaking, the cars whipping by, etc). Me and Alicia (who’s also not a bridge fan so we decided to do this together) suited up and started across the bridge on a beautiful day. I can bike across them no problem, not nervous about driving across them, but walking across them? Literally makes my palms start sweating immediately just thinking about it!īut whether it’s my runs or just getting across to my friends’ places across the water more easily or getting to see a beautiful bridge while travelling (think Porto, Portugal!), this is a fear I’ve definitely wanted to get over and so I figured that on a day that’s all about doing something you normally wouldn’t do, it’s high time I just do it on the biggest bridge in the city! In the spirit of the day, I had to rack my brains for a good dare for myself, which is surprising because the one that finally came to mind is one I have to deal with almost every day! I have a legit fear of bridges-I’m not really scared of heights but something about walking across a bridge makes me really nervous. razor does), Schick is hosting a giveaway on its Instagram page where you can tag a friend and challenge them to do a dare to be entered to win a $1,000 shopping spree + an Intuition f.a.b.
